Pamplona

Today the hike arrives at Pamplona. A vibrant city of Navarra. The hike from Zubiri is approximately 23 kms. The early morning bus from Roncesvalles to Zubiri / Pamplona is recommended. If you take the bus from Roncesvalles and arrive at Zubiri, the hike to Trinidad de Arre is a shorter hike of about ~ 16 kms and the hike the following day to Pamplona is ~ 7 kms. The albergue at Trinidad de Arre is a medieval pilgrim hospital. Highly recommend this albergue over Zubiri if you are pressed for time even when it is closer to Pamplona. If you have more time, then enjoy the Basque country and stay at both Zubiri & Trinidad de Arre. In which case, at Trinidad de Arre the arrival to Pamplona allows for more time to spend a full day at Pamplona. The hike is mostly flat terrain. Pamplona has great restaurants & bars. Pamplona & Burgette were Hemingway favorites.
