< Santiago de Compostella – Arzua >

Today we start the hike at the Village of Arzua and arrive at the village of Pedrouzo. The terrain is mostly flat with some irregular terrain in the forest areas that leads through Santa Irene. The hike has open terrain & forests. There are a few villages that border the highway leading to Santiago. Pedrouzo has some albergues and several restaurants and bars. The villages before Pedrouzo, including Santa Irene are not recommended for albergues. Restaurants and bars may be lacking until you reach Pedrouzo. The trail has been villages and forest until Santa Irene. The trail now starts to blend into a suburban and industrial terrain when you leave Pedrouzo. The airport hike is definitely industrial. Santiago de Compostella is a short distance away. Pedrouzo would be the last village remaining in the Camino Frances before reaching Santiago. There is bus service between Pedrouzo & Santiago de Compostela.
