Camino-Muxia – Olveiroa – Day # 2

Today we leave Negreira and hike to Olveiroa. This trail has some climbs and descents of 200 and 400 meters the first 10 kms into & last 10 kms of the trail. It levels off in the midpoint section for a few kms with a final climb of 100 meters and later a descent of about 150 meters. The trail has some challenging and uneven terrain and some roads. Villages along the way are Portocamiño, Vilaserio, Maroñas, Vilar de Castro, Abeleiroas, Ponte Oliveira. The villages are small and remote. The largest being Negreira in this sector. This is the longest day of the hike. There are several places to stop along the way. Olveiroa is a small village and has some albergues and places to eat.
