< Burgos / Belorado >

The hike today starts at Belorado and arrives at the Monastery of San Juan de Ortega. Today I will take the bus at either Santo Domingo de la Calzada or Belorado and arrive early at one of my favorites, the city of Burgos. I have included a map for this trip. San Juan de Ortega is a monastery in the middle of the forest. The Monastery is not open year long. You can gain an extra day or two if you take the bus at Belorado. Arrive early at Burgos and enjoy the day.

Belorado to San Juan de Ortega ~ 28 kms of distance. Steep hills, and hiking in a forest. Difficulty – 8/10.
